A large-scale general hydroelectric power station was constructed that generates 161,900kW by intaking up to 100.4m³/s of water from the selective withdrawal intake of the Tokuyama Dam that Kumagai Gumi was responsible for the construction of. Unit 1 generates power in response to peak demand, and Unit 2 constantly generates power using the water required directly downstream of the Tokuyama Dam.
