We were responsible for the construction of a Shinkansen (high-speed rail) tunnel with a total length of 4,280 meters spanning Rokunohe Town, Kamikita Town, and Towada City of Kamikita County, Aomori Prefecture, a light roadbed of 335m and an elevated bridge of 70m.
This project received the FY2006 Japan Society of Civil Engineers Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award for the development of the new SENS tunnel construction method that combined the NATM and shield method.
