Restoration work was conducted on an embankment on the right bank of the first-class Kitakamigawa River estuary area in the Nagatsura area of Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture that was damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake. Construction was conducted with over 10,000 sand compaction piles as a liquefaction prevention measure.
