A Mummy Excavated at a Site in Egypt
On January 5, 2005, Waseda University Institute of Egyptology discovered a wooden coffin that had never been disturbed by grave robbers and was complete with a mummy inside.
On January 5, in North Dahshur, Egypt, Waseda University Institute of Egyptology researchers discovered a wooden coffin containing a mummy (approx. 3,800 – 3,600 years old) that had never previously been unearthed. We had been working at the site since the planning stages of the excavation.
